Michael Hamilton-Wright (Chair) is a writer, director, and producer with more than twenty-five years of experience in film and television. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he has built an international career spanning North America and Europe, working across independent and studio-backed productions. His most recent film, Hostile Takeover, which he wrote and directed, is notable as the first independent feature shot entirely on a full-scale virtual production volume. Over the course of his career, Hamilton-Wright has written, directed, and produced numerous projects across multiple genres, combining technical innovation with a strong narrative focus. He is an active member of the Producers Guild of America, Writers Guild of America, Writers Guild of Canada, Writers Guild of Ireland, and the Directors Guild of Canada. In addition to his production work, he regularly guest lectures on film production at colleges throughout North America, mentoring emerging filmmakers and bridging practical production with storytelling craft.
