Susan Shanahan is originally from Southern California. She has lived in Maryville, TN for 21 years.
She worked in the Maryville City School system for 15 years, first as the assistant director of the adventure club (after-school care program) for 4 years, then as a teacher's assistant in the Special Education Preschool for 9 years and as Special Education Teacher in Behavior Management at Maryville Middle School for 2 years. She then worked as a Special Education Teacher at Loudon County Schools for 1 year. She now works as a Compliance Analyst for Cube Hydro Carolina's working on government compliance for dams located in Badin, North Carolina, which used to be owned by the Alcoa Aluminum Plant. She worked for Alcoa for 4.5 years as a consultant and as of 2/1/2017 is employed by Cube Hydro Carolina's.
Susan has been married to her husband Ron Shanahan for 5 years.
She has two grown sons from my previous marriage and a step-daughter from her current marriage. She is a grandma to one granddaughter.
Susan started volunteering at Mane Support in May 2016 and became a board member in February 2017. Susan loves horses and loves that Mane Support uses horses to help people heal. Susan believes that God is good and puts people and places in your life for a reason.
