…a journey of companionship in life and death
The connection that the horse has to healing is a true journey, not a destination. Much like that of the grieving process, it is a process not an event.
For those of us who have had these God given beings as our family members, teachers, team partners and clients, their death can have a tremendous impact on our personal and professional life.
Through this workshop participants will be provided information regarding the grief and loss issues surrounding the death of the horses in our lives. In addition, incorporating techniques of equine assisted grief counseling, journaling, art and discussion will assist to further understand how to help ourselves and others and to know we are not alone in this process.
This workshop is ideal for horse owners, those in veterinary medicine, equine assisted therapies and equitation instruction. Take home materials are provided and a Professional Development Certificate is awarded after completion of the workshop.
